RF24-105mm F2.8 L IS USM Z 是首支為混合型拍攝而設計的RF鏡頭，首支加入光圈環及支援電動變焦轉接器PZ-E2 (另購)，在拍攝短片時為用家提供接近電影鏡頭的精確控制。鏡頭採用固定長度的內變焦設計，在變焦時減少鏡頭重心的改變及讓變焦操作更暢順。鏡頭的24-105mm 變焦範圍與f/2.8大光圈為婚禮、活動及新聞等拍攝帶來更大彈性，11片圓形光圈葉亦提供更漂亮柔和散景。鏡頭配備「電子浮動對焦控制」，兩組獨立Nano USM馬達提供高速自動對焦及抑制對焦時出現的像差變化。
